Nature Coaching

Are you feeling stressed about your relationship, family issues, your health or career? Come and join me in nature. As a Martha Beck Life Coach and Nature-Based Coach, I soon started researching how I could combine my nature experiences and coaching knowledge to benefit my clients. Practicing the coaching tools and exercises in nature, I discovered that mindful time spent in nature opens your mind, releases stress and gives you clarity and often gives you what next steps will bring you the best results in your life.

I use the elements of nature as a metaphor to help you discover your talents. Where is your curiosity leading you?  For example, on one of our nature walks, you may be drawn to a particular tree or leaf. Through a series of questions, I’ll lead you to the message that object has to tell you. It can be magical and simple at the same time but always insightful.

One-on-One Nature Coaching

One on One Nature Coaching can be helpful when

  • You need someone to talk to about a life changing experience;
  • You are overwhelmed and stressed out about your work and/or running a family;
  • Parenting your teen is challenging;
  • You have lost a Loved one;
  • You like to make a career change but don’t know where to start;
  • You are in the middle of making a major life decision.

What can you expect? In 90-minute walk on the beach, in the “Mondi”, Arikok National Park or Amsterdamse Bos, I help you explore nature. It can be playful, contemplative, physical or energetic. Intuitively I use tools, metaphors and exercises that empower you to find the answers that move you forward in your life. This 1:1 nature coaching package consists of two 90-minute sessions in nature.

Wisdom Walks

Walking alone in nature has always been a great joy for me, but I also love to walk with others. I did both on the Camino of Santiago de Compostela. It is great to walk and talk, but walking with others in silence is quite magical.

What I discovered on the Camino is that walking in silence with others can help you see nature with more clarity, to hear sounds at a deeper level, and to connect with yourself and all of nature in a deeper way.

People were often surprised when I told them that I walked the Camino on my own. I realized that for many, it feels too risky to walk alone in nature.

Through my wanders in nature and my Camino I have learned that nature has a lot of wisdom to share with us.  Wisdom Walks, is an opportunity to walk with the safety of another and to open up to the wisdom that solitude can bring. Walk in silence at your own pace, contemplate nature, observe the landscape, walk mindfully or in a meditative state and explore a little off the path.

We will walk, listen, smell, feel and watch nature and wait for nature’s wisdom to presents itself.

There will be time after the walk for reflection. Please wear your hiking shoes and bring a bottle of water.
